Responsibility Scores

Each criterion in a Better Beer Draught Quality Assessment is the responsibility of the establishment or the line cleaner. For example, the line cleaner is responsible for FOB Chambers (inside the FOBs - they are accountable for keeping beer stone and bio-film from developing inside the FOB) and Couplers (which they should soak and scrub during each cleaning). The establishment is responsible for having Beer Clean Glasses (weekly cleaning) and stocking the Glasswasher Chemicals (to clean and sanitize the glassware).

We show three scores for our draught quality assessments:

  • Overall Score - The entire assessment is expressed as a percentage.

  • Establishment Score - The criteria for which the establishment is responsible are expressed as a percentage.

  • Line Cleaners Score - The criteria for which the line cleaner is responsible are expressed as a percentage.

The Responsibility Scores will highlight the establishment's and the Line Cleaner's scores, better identifying who is responsible for the total score.

Example:

In this example, the Line Cleaner scored an 89, while the bar scored a red 67. This shows us that the establishment is responsible for most of the draught quality issues and the line cleaner is doing their job well. The total assessment score is 86%.

The Establishment and Line Cleaner scores will appear in the assessment email and on the Establishment Manager page in the Admin section of our site.

When looking at an assessment’s online results, we’ve identified the line cleaner’s criteria with a checkmark inside a box.

Beer Line Interiors and Couplers have a checkbox icon indicating they are the responsibility of the line cleaner.

Keg Freshness does not have a checkbox because the establishment is responsible for ensuring kegs are fresh and within their shelf life.

This feature will help everyone better understand their scores and create better accountability.
